Back in 2011, Motorola introduced the Moto Xoom tablet, which was the first tablet based on Honeycomb, the Android version optimized for the tablets. It was followed by Xoom 2, after which Motorola withdrew from the tablet market.
Now six years later, Motorola is making a comeback to the struggling tablet market with the mid-range Moto Tab. However, it will be limited to the U.S market, and exclusive to carrier AT&T.
Coming to the specs, the Moto Tab features 10.1-inch Full HD IPS display and is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 2GB RAM. It comes with 32GB, which is expandable via microSD card.
It ships with front camera, fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port and Dolby Atmos powered dual front-firing speakers. It runs Android 7.1 Nougat, and includes a TV Mode, which gives users access to movies, TV shows and other content; and Kids Mode, so that your kids can view curated content and appropriate website. A 7000mAh battery runs the show.
Additionally, Motorola is also offering two optional accessories for the Moto Tab – a Home Assistant Pack, which is a Alexa speaker dock with dual mics and 3W speaker, and Productivity Pack, which is a Bluetooth ThinkPad keyboard with a touchpad and folio case.
As for the pricing, the Moto Tab has been priced $299.99 (Rs. 20,000) and will go on sale in the U.S starting November 17.
